My first camera was an analog Canon AE-1, which I was given on loan to the Foto-AG in 1988 at high school.
The tutor at the time fascinated me with his black-and-white photos of Berlin architecture, streets and backyards. My first photo film was an Illford HP 5 ISO 400 black and white, which I used on my first model, my great love ♥ Berlin, snapped.
Various cameras have followed to this day, although I currently rely on Nikon! After many private projects, my first photo assignments were for a club magazine, for which I was allowed to photograph artists, dancers, staff or the locations every month.
Over time I was able to gain a lot of experience, developed my sense of attention to detail, exposure, the staging of people or a wide variety of things for product and advertising photography.
From 2006 I photographed for a well-known model agency in Berlin, and to this day I have produced countless sed card & polaroid shoots, calendars, magazine series, collection shoots, etc.
I was not only inspired by orders and their challenges, or models, but also by clients, partners and colleagues.
Sven Rodriguez (formerly Asmus) played a big part in my development. We got to know each other through joint work and projects for the agency and shop. Over time, my own collaborations and productions developed, during which I liked to look over his shoulder. Above all, my knowledge of photography in the areas of manual photography, exposure and lighting benefited from his many years of experience as a studio manager for Zuumeo.
Since 2013 we have been organizing shooting trips together for our model finca project, in which both our own projects and shootings can be realized, but collection and commissioned work can also be implemented. Our current project is Kalender-Shop24.de, a shop through which we sell our work in print and digital.
